What is Leisure Accomodation and Venue Hire?

You can use your card for two categories of expenses, wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted. These are 'leisure accommodation' and 'venue hire'. You may only use the card for expenses that qualify under these categories.

Here are some examples of expenses likely to qualify:

  • Leisure accommodation expenses within Australia or overseas. This can include the use of a hotel or motel room, a cabin or on-site van in a caravan park or the use of a room in a bed and breakfast. Costs can include anything from an overnight stay, a weekend away or an extended overseas holiday.
  • Venue hire expenses such as the hire of a private function room at a club or similar facility for a family celebration, like a wedding or birthday party.

Are there things i can't use my card for?

  • Food or drink while on holiday or for a function
  • Other services, such as mini-bar, room service, laundry, in-house movies, waiter hire and so on
  • Leisure accommodation and venue hire expenses incurred while traveling for work related purposes

You are unable to set up recurring direct debit payments on the card, or use it to withdraw money from an ATM or when making EFTPOS transactions. Money transfers - either from another account to your card or vice versa - are also unavailable.
